The Lee’s MC70 universal rod racks are ideal for storing your fishing rear almost anywhere. Furthermore, they feature the same rod tip hanger used in the Lee’s MC0075 reel specific rod racks. In the article, we examine the universal rod racks. The gold, satin and silver rod racks have the same physical dimensions. The rod racks can be used on overhead and spinning reels and allow you to store your fishing gear with the reel attached.
Lee’s MC70 dimensions
The reel tip hanger has a hole spacing of 60 mm with an overall width of 73 mm. The rod butt hanger has a hole spacing of 70 mm and an overall with of 83 mm. From measuring both the MC0075 and the MC70 rod racks we noticed the hole spacing is set 1/4″ from in from its overall width. Each hole is countersunk so its best to use countersunk screws when installing the rod racks.
Mounting locations
The most popular mounting location is inside the cabin of a boat. Specifically, the cabin roof is ideal as there is plenty of length to accommodate most fishing rods. Another popular mounting location is inside the garage. It allows you to create your own custom rod racks with the ideal spacing to suit your fishing rods.
